FAQ
In vielen Situationen ja.
- was im Moment die größten Schwierigkeiten verursacht;
- wo noch Spielraum für Verbesserungen besteht;
FAQ
Do I have to change everything at once?
Usually, when people receive a diagnosis, they almost immediately feel like they need to solve everything at once.
Food, sugar, weight, exercise, routine, sleep. And often this ends up creating even more pressure and fatigue.
Overly aggressive changes can rarely be maintained for long.
In most situations, the most important thing is to first understand what is creating the most wear and tear on a daily basis and gradually start there.
Small changes that manage to survive the routine usually have more impact than short periods of intense motivation followed by exhaustion.
Can type 2 diabetes get better?
In many situations, yes. Especially when there is intervention relatively early.
In the early stages, the body usually has even greater responsiveness than many imagine.
This does not mean looking for quick fixes or unrealistic promises. And it also does not mean that all situations are the same.
Time, habits accumulated over the years and the context of each person make a difference.
But even when the situation is already more advanced, this does not mean that there is no longer room to improve energy, stability and quality of life on a daily basis.
Many people live for years with constant fatigue, energy swings, hunger that is difficult to control, or the feeling that the body has stopped responding in the same way.
And often, even without radical changes, it is still possible to create important improvements over time.
The goal here is not to sell the idea of perfection or miraculous healing. It is to help the body gradually return to respond better within the reality of each person.
Do you only work with people who have already been diagnosed?
No.
Often, the first signs appear long before there is a formal diagnosis.
Constant tiredness, unstable energy, hunger that is difficult to control or simply the feeling that the body no longer responds in the same way can start long before type 2 diabetes exists.
And it is often precisely at this stage that there is still more room to improve the way the body is functioning.
At the same time, there are also people who have been living with type 2 diabetes for several years and who continue to manage to greatly improve their quality of life, energy and stability in their daily lives.
The most important thing is not just the diagnosis itself. It is to understand the current context and what is currently making health more difficult to sustain.
Do I need to follow a fully plant-based diet?
Not necessarily.
The focus is not on creating rigid rules or putting everyone on the same eating approach.
Over the years, it has become increasingly clear how certain eating patterns can influence energy, satiety, stability, and quality of life in everyday life.
Therefore, plant-based eating naturally ends up having a lot of presence within the way I work — not for an ideological reason, but because there is now a very significant amount of scientific evidence showing the impact that eating patterns richer in plant foods can have on metabolic health.
At the same time, the goal here is neither perfection nor extremism.
The most important thing is to find a way of eating that makes sense for each person's reality and that can be maintained in a stable way over time.
In many situations, small, consistent changes end up having more impact than radical changes that create pressure for a few weeks and then disappear.
How does the first consultation work?
The first consultation serves mainly to understand the current context in more depth.
Not only exams or isolated values, but also the way in which the day to day has been organized over time:
- routine;
- food;
- energy;
- sleep;
- stress levels.
Often, difficulties do not appear because of a single thing. There are several small factors that, together, begin to affect the way the body responds on a daily basis.
The consultation is also a space to understand:
- which is currently creating more difficulty;
- where there is still greater room for improvement;
- and what kind of changes really make sense for each person's reality.
The goal is not to create pressure or deliver a rigid list of rules. It is to start by understanding the current situation in a calmer and more organized way.
Consultations can be in person at Lindau, at the Hope Center, or online by appointment.
What if I've tried to change several times?
This is more common than many people realize.
Many people have gone through periods of great motivation, tried to change their diet, started exercising, reduced sugar or tried to reorganize their routine — but ended up slowly returning to the same patterns when tiredness, stress and real life started to weigh on them again.
Most of the time, this does not mean a lack of will. It just means that changes that are too difficult to sustain end up creating wear and tear over time.
The goal here is not to demand constant perfection. It is to realize what realistically can work within each person's current routine.
Often, smaller but more consistent changes end up creating more stable differences than very intense attempts that last only a few weeks.
FAQ
- rotina;
- alimentação;
- energia;
- sono;
- o que neste momento está a criar mais dificuldade;
- onde ainda existe maior margem para melhorar;
